All workshops will be held in Mudd 1024 from 12:30pm-2pm. Lunch will be provided.
June 5th: Summer@SEAS Orientation
- Note: Orientation will be from 3:30pm-5pm.
- Orientation will be followed by a summer kick-off social at Bowlero Times Square.
June 12th: Presenting Your Research with Professor John Kymissis
June 26th: Columbia Library Resources with Librarian Will Vanti
July 10th: Undergraduate Research & Fellowship Resources with Dean Ariella Lang
July 17th: Application of Engineering in Industry with Johnson & Johnson WiSTEM2D
Summer@SEAS Program
What is Summer@SEAS?
Summer@SEAS is Columbia Engineering's on-campus research program for Undergraduate and Master's students. Students conduct research on-campus for approximately 8-12 weeks.
In addition to research in various labs, Summer@SEAS students are provided additional enrichment opportunities comprised of:
- Academic and professional seminars
- Professional development sessions on scientific writing, presentation skills, post grad planning, etc.
- Social events (past examples: Broadway shows, bowling, Dave & Busters, etc.)
- Weekly social luncheon.
How do I join Summer@SEAS?
There is no student application for this program. All students must do is be hired by one of the labs listed here.
What compensation is provided to students?
Students will receive a $6000 stipend. The program does not provide housing, but the stipend can be used towards housing expenses.
