Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)

 

 

Motivated students are invited to apply for paid summer research internships to have access to NYIT's state-of-the-art research facilities and gain valuable hands-on research experiences using network testbeds to simulate malware and attacks on mobile devices and wireless networks, efficient privacy-preserving authentication methods with novel biometrics for medical devices and smartphones, emotions of populations vulnerable to phishing, and secure sharing of wireless spectrum for body-area networks and connected vehicles. This opportunity is open to only ten students. Since the selection process is very competitive, students are advised to apply early.

 

 

Where: NSF REU Site at NYIT New York City Campus

 

 

When: May 28th to August 2nd, 2019

What: Paid Summer Research Experience ($5,000 stipend for the summer, plus housing and travel expenses covered)

 

 

Eligibility Requirements:

Citizen or permanent resident of the United States.

Enrolled full time at a college or university.

Junior or senior academic standing with no completed a B.A. or B.S. degree.

Cumulative average of 3.2 or better.
