Optical Imaging of the Heart

We are sorry, this position has been filled.

The student will participate in the Columbia FlexICoN project (joint with Columbia EE CoSMIC Lab) focusing on the design and implementation of full-duplex wireless communication testbed composed of National Instruments (NI) Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) Software-Defined Radios (SDRs). The project will explore architectures and algorithms that can allow radios to achieve simultaneous transmission and reception on the same frequency channel. The project involves designing/implementing signal processing blocks and self-interference-cancellation/MAC layer algorithms on USRPs. The student will also be involved in integrating the custom-design full-duplex radios into the city-scale COSMOS testbed for evaluating the system in real-world environments.
