Summer OverSEAS

Columbia Engineering and the Mailman School of Public Health collaboratively host Summer OverSEAS - a program focused on bringing engineering to public health.  This funded research opportunity allows students to conduct research abroad or locally.

Eligibility

  • Engineering BS Students

  • Engineering MS Students​

  • Barnard Pathways (4+1) Students

Program Overview

  • Engineering BS and MS students are placed in one of ICAP’s global health internships via interviews with the sites.

  • Collaborate with graduate students from the Mailman School of Public Health at ICAP-supported sites

  • Engage in a one-week Public Health boot camp prior to engagement

  • Mentored by SEAS faculty ​member(s)

  • All travel accommodations are fully covered, and stipends are provided.

The application consists of a brief statement of interest, research areas of interest, resume/LinkedIn profile, and (1) letter of recommendation.  No prior research experience is necessary.
