Quantification of mechanical strain from time lapse experiments in the developing chick endoderm

Student will learn to perform electroporation-mediated gene transfer in the chick embryo, followed by live imaging to study cell movements in the embryo. Finally the student will use cell movements to compute mechanical parameters that will yield meaningful data on understanding the physcial mechanism by which cells move.
