Mechanical Regulation of Cell Polarity in Gut Tube Formation (Position Filled)

The project focuses on how mechanical forces generated during development instruct anisotropic cell behaviors during formation of the gut tube, an embryonic structure that will give rise to all respiratory and digestive organs. The project will involve molecular biology and embryology, biomechanics, live imaging, and mathematical modeling.
