In this project, we are investigating the genetic basis that underlie the molecular signatures of neural cells to exposures associated with neurodegeneration. The student will work closely with a graduate student and the Chemical Genomics Laboratory research staff. The projects will focus on the genomic analysis of genetically perturbed cells exposed to agents associated with neurodegeneration. The student will work on multiple aspects of the project, including cell culture, genetic perturbation, cell exposure and processing for single-cell RNA-seq analysis. The student may also focus on the processing of single-cell RNA-seq data. Students will be expected to present the results at the end of the summer.
