Analyze atmospheric data sets to address problems related to extreme weather and climate change. E.g., understand the relationship between extreme precipitation and climate variables, using extreme value theory conditioned on climate covariates. Requires good programming skills in python, knowledge of statistics, physics, and mathematics, and ability to work independently.
