Exploring the Electronic Properties of Two Dimensional Materials

The recent discovery of monolayer films of 2D materials -- planar materials with no out-of-plane bonding -- has created much interest within the scientific community and experiments have shown novel electrical, mechanical, and optoelectronic properties. As part of our work on understanding electronic transport and electrostatics in 2D materials, you will help exfoliate, fabricate, and build test equipment to explore emerging phenomena of this new class of materials.
