Summer 2020 Education Experience for Undergraduates (EEU)

Inspire high school students this summer!

Serve as a leader, mentor, and advisor to high school students participating in the Columbia Engineering Summer High School Academic Program for Engineers (SHAPE). Gain valuable work experience alongside SEAS faculty assisting instruction in a computer science, robotics, biomedical, electrical engineering, or innovation and design course.

Columbia Engineering SHAPE is a selective summer program for current high school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. The program is geared toward local students who have demonstrated an interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Each 3-week session offers college-level courses and electives, student projects, and college preparation workshops.

EEU is a remarkable opportunity to both gain invaluable work experience and mentor high school students. EEUs receive a $5000 stipend. Training is held June 22 - 26, and the program runs June 29 - August 7.
