EE MS Research Positions in Lightwave Research Laboratory

Open research positions for MS students are now available in the Lightwave Research Laboratory under Professor Keren Bergman. The research will be focused on learning the fundamental principles photonic system simulation, and getting highly involved in developing our own photonic modelling software, PhoenixSim. This project will be highly interdisciplinary, leveraging skills from computer science, electrical engineering, and physics. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in:

  • Programming in Python, Matlab and/or Java
  • Application Development/Software Engineering
  • Fundamental concepts in photonics and optical communications

Previous experience with and/or knowledge of photonic simulation software (RSoft, Lumerical, etc.) is preferred but not necessary. Please contact Anthony Rizzo (ajr2227@columbia.edu) for further information.
