Developing an iPSCs model of Spinal Muscular Atrophy using CRISPRi

The students will work on a project aim to model Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) using human engineered tissues. The work will involve the use of human induced pluripotent stem cells, generation of plasmids and transgenic lines, motoneuron and muscle differentiations, microfabrication, RT-PCR, western blot and immunohistochemistry and confocal imaging.
