The Burke lab of Columbia University focuses on addressing scientific challenges in the field of complex reacting systems through a combination of novel experimental and computational strategies that employ high levels of automation, data analytics methods, and multi-scale/multi-physics models. The student researcher would contribute to the further development of the mixed-experimental-and-computational strategies and/or their application to specific complex reacting systems.

Qualifications: Programming in Python; computational/modeling experience; additional preference for basic knowledge of complex reaction systems, familiarity with Cantera software, and/or strong background in computer science
