CURVE (Collaborative URban Visualization Environment)

From emergency planning to real estate, workers in many domains can benefit from collaborative exploration of the physical and virtual infrastructure of an urban environment. CURVE (Collaborative URban Visualization Environment) supports multiple users wearing AR and VR headsets, interacting with urban data. Users view and manipulate live datasets in context of an immersive 3D scale model of our city, integrated with georeferenced data from government and social media websites. They can work alone or together, selecting data and organizing it on a shared virtual pin board. This summer, we would like to introduce additional data sources and visualizations that improve on the virtual placards that we currently support. We are looking for a student with a strong command of the Unity 3D development environment and an interest in 3D data visualization.
