Characterizing Inflammation After In Vitro Stretch Injury

Moderate in vitro stretch injury has been shown to induce cell death and electrophysiological dysfunction. The mechanisms of this damage have not fully been characterized in an organotypic slice culture. We plan to further explore the electrophysiological dysfunction seen across multiple recordings and determine if early cytokine release is responsible for these changes.
