(BNL) Protoyping and Measurement of User Interface and Display Manager Conversion Tools.

CLOSED

The NSLS_II has determined that the standard user interface for use on all accelerator  and beamline displays will be part of the Control System Studio (CSS) tools called CSS-BOY (best OPI yet). This replaces the much older MEDM and EDM display manager and is in competition with the Qt based series of tools (EPICSQt and CaQtDM).

This project seeks, firstly to perform a comparative series of studies into the capabilities of these alternatives from a performance and resource standpoint, following up an earlier study performed at the APS and designing and developing a set of conversion tools that allow a migration from CSS-BOY to CaQtDM.
