The NSLS-II produces a lot of data, currently we have no method of monitoring the volume or production rate of this data. Develop a system architecture that can monitor various data sources (GPFS, Mongo, etc) and produce metrics on the data and display them. One outcome of the project would be to develop a data monitoring dashboard that could be displayed on the large facility status panels throughout the facility.
