Biomedical Optics and Image Processing

Student researchers will aid in developing optical coherence tomography (OCT) and near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) systems and automated processing tools to correlate tissue microstructure to electrical conduction and mechanical contraction. Projects are available within our cardiac electrophysiology and breast cancer projects, with roles devoted to optical design and fabrication, signal processing and image processing/deep learning.
